Scholarships, Awards & Financial Support
Students are automatically considered for Faculty-wide academic scholarships, which are based on the student’s GPA at the end of terms 2, 4, 6, and 8. In order to be eligible for these scholarships, the student must have completed at least 35 units of course work in the previous two academic terms.
Some scholarships are based on superior performance in specific courses. To ensure consideration for these scholarships, students should submit a letter to the department (Undergraduate Secretary or Associate Chair) mentioning the specific scholarship(s) they would like to be considered for.
Scholarships involving other criteria such as community service, leadership, extracurricular activities (on and off campus), volunteer work, or athletics, require nomination from the Department. To be considered for one of these scholarships, students should update (and keep current) their student activities on the Faculty of Engineering scholarship database.
