A collaborative effort between the University of Alberta Libraries and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Research Assistance - Librarian in Residence brings the information and reference services of the Cameron Science and Technology Library to all faculty, students, researchers and staff in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Mechanical Engineering Librarian Randy Reichardt will be available for consultation:

Location: Mech E 5-8ARandy Reichard

Days: Thursdays

Dates:

Time: 13:00 - 15:00

The University of Alberta Libraries is increasingly making available in electronic format the major reference materials, series, conferences, and texts in engineering and related fields. This includes standards and patents. As a result, the engineer is able to do most research from the desktop rather than from within the library.

The University of Alberta Libraries recognizes that it is therefore all the more important to develop strong research skills, and provides an opportunity for scholars and students working in the Department of Mechanical Engineering to consult with its librarian about finding information resources to support their projects and assignments. This initiative enhances the relationship shared between the Faculty of Engineering, the Deparment of Mechanical Engineering, and the University of Alberta Libraries and helps scholars and students to make the best use of the Mechanical Engineering library resources.
